Performance Meets Efficiency in the New Tucson

Whether you get a Tucson with all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive is up to you. Both are available on any of the trims, so you can think about how often you might be driving in adverse conditions as you make your decision. The SE runs on a two-liter, four-cylinder engine with 161 horsepower. Efficiency is a selling point, since the Tucson does pretty well compared to other five-seater SUVs. Estimated fuel economy is 23/30 (city/highway) miles per gallon. Actual rates depend on trim and whether you select AWD or FWD.

Interior Style and Technology of the Tucson Trim Levels

In terms of getting adequate cargo space, this SUV is a smart choice. Behind the second row of seating is 31 cubic feet. When the rear seats are folded down, capacity increases to 61.9 cubic feet. Even at the base level, the SE, the Hyundai Tucson comes with a seven-inch touchscreen display and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This type of technology is a big reason why the SUV has become so popular at Westlake Hyundai. Other advanced mechanisms are driver-assist features. One of the systems helps prevent forward collisions, and the other sends out an alert when a driver starts to inadvertently veer out of a lane. There's also an electronic parking brake with automatic vehicle hold.

When you go up to the next two trims, the Value and the SEL, a few more elements are included for your enjoyment as you travel around the Simi Valley area. For instance, at the Value level, the Tucson starts coming with a blind-spot collision warning and an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat. In these models, drivers can take advantage of the smart entry system and the push-button start for convenience. A few changes are found at this level on the exterior of the vehicle, in comparison with the base trim. LED accents, heated side mirrors, and roof side rails start becoming standard features here.

At the SEL level, there are touches like larger wheels, a second-row USB outlet, and dual automatic temperature control. On the exterior, the SEL comes with premium front and rear fascia for a bolder look. One important change with the SEL and higher models is that they have 2.4-liter engines with 181 horsepower. Many drivers planning on hauling a lot or who just like the feel of more capable engines will opt for the SEL for this reason.

The Sport and Limited are next up. The Sport has sleek 19" wheels and LED lights in front and back, and it comes with a premium audio system. In the Limited, you'll appreciate leather seats and a surround view monitor so that you can better keep track of what's going on in your proximity.

Ultimate Style and Versatility in the Hyundai Tucson Night and Ultimate Trims

If you want something more luxurious to drive around Camarillo, think about getting a Tucson Night or Ultimate. Both these trims come with forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection and a panoramic sunroof to bring in extra light. With the Night, the wheels are bumped up to 19" BBS alloy wheels and the gloss black grille is paired with a dash chrome trim. Further enhancing the exterior style are dual exhaust finishers and gloss black side mirrors.

The Ultimate is the only trim to have a larger touchscreen, measuring eight inches. It's also the only type of Tucson to have ventilated front seats, heated back seats, rain-sensing wipers, and a 4.2" color LCD multi-information display as opposed to the standard 3.5" display.
